Reading Saved Calculator Results Without Inventing Inputs

A saved calculation is a record of an output, not a measurement of your body. Check its calculator name, unit, time and retained assumptions before comparing it. The current FitBasis history does not retain every original form input; missing inputs remain unknown, even when its saved activity and unit labels match.

Start with the label, not the size of the number

A history entry can be labelled Estimated TDEE, Mild target or Planning high. In the current tool these represent a TDEE estimate in kcal/day, the mild deficit example in kcal/day, or the protein planning-high output in g/day. [1] Comparing their magnitudes as though they measure the same thing would change the question.

Write what you are reviewing: a previous calculation, an actual measurement or a practical plan. An output saved yesterday is still a calculation. Its timestamp records saving, not a day of measured energy expenditure, intake or body change.

Choose whether you need a lasting record at all. An optional review can end without collecting more health information. Actual care instructions take priority over any webpage's estimate or suggested review window.

These are implementation descriptions for the current release. [1] “Assumptions match” in its history checks the saved unit-system and activity fields. It cannot compare age, height, weight or equation sex that the snapshots do not retain. Read that line narrowly, rather than treating it as proof that the entire original setup was identical.

Compare two complete records, or state what is missing

Suppose two fictional entries say Estimated TDEE and use the same unit and activity label. The newer output is larger. That establishes a difference between saved outputs. Without the original inputs, it does not tell you which input changed or whether your measured daily expenditure changed.

For a reproducible comparison, separately record the actual calculator URL, date, equation choice, age, height and weight with their units, activity label, output label/unit and purpose. Keep a copied summary as a summary; do not infer missing inputs backward from a rounded result.

If you did not save those inputs, write “original height/weight not recorded” rather than supplying today's values. You may choose to start a clearly dated new record. Do not recreate a past calculation and silently label it as the original.

The TDEE interpretation guide explains the different task of reading an estimate. This history guide does not set a calorie target, validate the equation for you or interpret weight changes.

Distinguish the retained list from the visible list

The current implementation keeps up to eight snapshots across calculator kinds. The history display filters to the current kind and shows up to three. [1] A three-item display therefore is not an inventory of every saved object, and repeated saving is not an unlimited archive.

“Clear local history” removes the shared latest-result, history, review-note and revisit-reminder keys used by these calculators. It is not a promise to delete only the currently visible calculator's rows. The separate unit-preference key is not removed by that action. These scopes matter before clearing something you wanted to keep.

MDN describes localStorage as belonging to the document's origin, with persistence across browser sessions and possible restrictions. [2] This is not a signed-in account or a promised backup. Another browser, profile or device is not an assured copy of the record you saw here. A downloaded file or screenshot is a separate copy.

Check what Copy and Download actually contain

The current Copy action writes the result-summary text. The TXT worksheet combines that summary with formula/boundary text, a seven-day plan, the selected review signal and a note. It does not include the full original input tuple. [1] If complete inputs matter, add them deliberately to your separate record rather than assuming a successful download supplied them.

MDN says writeText writes to the clipboard and can be denied. [3] Copy feedback concerns that operation, not a destination file. Read the actual destination and last line after you save through an application you choose.

Saving a revisit date stores and displays a local date in the current component. It does not register a notification. [1] Use a reminder method you actually control if needed; you do not have to schedule a review just because an optional dropdown offers 7, 14 or 28 days.

Keep only the record that serves your question

The optional blank context record is a companion, not an export schema. It asks which fields were retained, which are unknown and whether two outputs share a documented setup. Leave personal fields unused when a complete reproducible comparison is not necessary.

Keep actual measurements, calculation outputs and future plans on separate labelled lines. A larger saved number does not prove improvement, and a smaller one does not establish failure. For coverage and comparable observations, the existing progress-record checklist owns that broader review task.

If tracking becomes unhelpful or conflicts with professional instructions, stop the self-directed comparison and seek appropriate help for the real question. No result history must be completed before you can ask for support.

Four record-reading checks

These original checks use the documented fields or the explicitly fictional batch. They do not assess a person’s body or an actual meal.

Check 1: Two saved outputs have matching activity and unit labels, but neither stores the original weight. Was the weight necessarily the same?

No. The original weight is unknown unless you kept a separate actual input record.

The saved-label comparison cannot test a field that the snapshots omit.

Check 2: A calculator history shows three entries. Does that prove there are only three saved snapshots across all calculator kinds?

No. The captured implementation retains up to eight across kinds, then displays up to three for the current kind.

A filtered display is different from the complete retained list.

Check 3: A locally saved revisit date appears. Has the tool scheduled a push notification?

No notification is established by that local date.

The captured code stores and displays the date; it does not register a notification.

Check 4: A TXT worksheet contains the result summary. Does it necessarily contain the complete original age, height and weight tuple?

No. Add actually recorded inputs separately if a reproducible comparison is needed.

Do not reconstruct omitted past inputs from a rounded output.

For a shared home meal, keep the batch and each actual portion separate. A calculator output does not establish the ingredients or amounts eaten.

Use the optional blank record

Download the original blank TXT record. It contains prompts, not personal entries entered in another page.
